[Naki's death had been so sudden, it's honestly hard for him to wrap his mind around. It feels more like a dream than something that actually happened--seeing himself shatter into a billion pieces, suddenly waking up to a dramatic reunion with a sobbing tearful fox (and maybe his other fox roommates). It's safe to say he's been quieter than ever since then, at least--though the fox cheered up considerably as soon as he got back.
But anyway! There's a couple minutes of silence after Kashuu's knock on the door. Silence, and then some shuffling, and...eventually it opens a little bit, with Naki's face peeking through the crack. He sees the plate first, eyes slowly moving up to meet Kashuu's.
