Carefully lifting his foot...there's so many vines, if they're not careful they might get their feet tangled in here! But more important than tangly vines right now is the fact that he just caught sight of something leafy slithering in maybe-possibly Kashuu's direction. A plant creature? A creature wearing plants? A creature that just happens to be covered in leaves?]
But Kashuu is looking forward at the time Naki spots their new friend, whatever it is. Good, sharp eye, fox comrades! He's immediately turning on his heel, on his guard.]

[Which ends up being a totally useless question, because the leafy slithering something surfaces for a brief second - still mostly obscured by jungle-y foliage. It's enough to get Kashuu to jump back several paces, though... Look at him go! It's like he's part kangaroo!]

It is very difficult to jump back in vines and in heels though, and Kashuu isn't even sure how this thing works. Maybe it detects movement? Breath? Heat? WHO KNOWS. He stands still just in case.]
[It's still wiggling...but where is it going? Does even the plant know? Naki stares down at it, putting a hand to his vessel as he watches it poke around. Maybe it's searching for something?]

And dutifully, once he gets there, he draws his blade and just. Severs the vine by the sole of Nakigitsune's foot. It writhes around as though in pain, but hey! At least there's no alien blood.]
[AND HE'S FREE....the vine writhes around and starts shrinking back into the depths of vine country, back to its viney home.
Probably. For now. For all we know it's just camouflaging itself or something.

[...It's true, this is slow going.....it'd take, like a whole expedition team for them to finish this the way they're going. Maybe even two! He wants to say two.
He looks over his shoulder back at Kashuu.

I wonder if there's a more efficient way of doing this...do you think there might be a store somewhere, with a plant-destroying spray? [The wonders of modern science!]

Or it'll just be an exercise that ends in their GRISLY DEMISE considering these vines apparently do have ears, or at the very least they can sense Malicious Intent.]
