Maybe we can pay off a year's worth of rent... we could go stock up on food... or, we could spend all of it on cool souvenirs for our friends!!

[ at first, tsurumaru thinks of the usual souvenirs — i went to the jungle but all i got was this dumb t-shirt, and such, but then he remembers something that he's seen before. ]

[ it is absolutely interesting... something which is worth spending all of their fortunes on, without a doubt! this is the best decision!! tsuru always makes the best decisions! (he doesn't).

but... naki-kouhai does look fascinated! he's totally with him on this idea of buying wooden thingamajigs. so once they've gathered as many gold coins as they can carry without becoming tired: ]

after some walking and shoving aside large, leafy plants, the store is, in fact, nearby!! a few more steps, and they should see it, but maybe naki (smallest fox, rather) can point it out. ]

[ see! this is why tsurumaru is 100% trustworthy... upon first glance, the shop looks far less run down than most would expect, from a shop in the middle of nowhere... ]

[ that name, how strange! but the best part can be found in the aisles and aisles of wooden thingamajigs... jackpot! the aisles are for the varying size of thingamajigs. there are thingamajigs small enough to put in one's pocket, and there are thingamajigs that are larger than the television that yamato stabbed a few weeks ago!

what kind of thingamajigs will they take back to which comrades? ]

[ thingamajig heaven! there are thingamajigs are far as the eye can see... but tsuru will do the same, admiring as many thingamajigs as he can in one sitting.

anyway, they're on the hunt for presents! (both for themselves and the swords.) however, there are a few ones in particular that catch tsuru's eye — it's a whole aisle of fox thingamajigs!

he brings two of those back to nakigitsune, where he promptly drops them off in the palms of his hands. ] Look! This orange one is smallest fox, this one is you, and this one over here — is like you, smallest fox, and Kogitsunemaru all together.

[ but where is he going? he put them down!! and the coins!!! did he not like these thingamajigs, despite what smallest fox said?! is he running away?!?!?!?!

—oh, he returned, with something interesting in his hands. maybe naki did, in fact, like the wooden foxes...! how cute...

but there's something in his hands now! tsuru's fully mesmerized by the meticulous designs that went into carving this wooden bird, eyes shining with interest. this probably took months to produce, and it must also be expensive, but that's no problem! they're here to spend all $242948296454497524's worth, in coins.

looking back at naki, he smiles — gratefully, because it's so thoughtful! it moves his heart. ] Thanks, Naki. It's really pretty — you have an eye for this stuff.

and once they catch up, ta-daaaaa...! the magical spinny thingamajig, the thingamajig to trump all thingamajigs! ] I didn't know if Haru would be interested in this, but by itself... it was pretty interesting.

[ his gaze rests on the fox when it speaks, but naki looks as if he'll practically be absorbed into the thingamajig, from how intently he's staring at it. he's so fascinated, that tsurumaru almost wants to—

he lifts his hand, bringing it above naki's head, before carefully resting it on his fluffy, white hair. pat, pat... he's patting naki's head! everything is very soft!! tsurumaru is smiling! this is a pure moment... and when he speaks again, he does so gently. ]

If you like it that much, we can get as many as we possibly can. That's the most interesting thing we've seen in the shop, don't you think?

[ yesssss pats! well-deserved pats... his hair is as soft as the finest silk, tsuru can almost pat him forever... but they do have all of these thingamajigs to buy, and he probably can't carry them in one hand; so he removes his hand for now. ]

Hmm, let's see — if we're getting one for Haru and one for each of the other swords, and some friends, then we're going to need about... twenty? [ all the thingamajigs! ] Here, help me carry them.

[ he's going to start taking a few of them off of the shelf! they're forming a small mountain in his arms! but a crane's balance is perfect, and he's not going to drop them. ]
