[Doutanuki notices the subtle move to get rid of some of the plushes and he not-so-subtly leans down and picks the tofu up, turning it over in his hands.]
[It's gotta be a fox thing. Nakigitsune and Kogitsunemaru are super strongly connected to their respected animal namesakes, so it's any wonder their room - with the addition of two actual foxes (one real, one robot???) - looks like a den.]

This is going to sound weird, but... [He looks at Naki.] I heard some of you guys are mixing me up with the nickname Master gives me. You know I'm not connected to those animals at all, right?
[Doutanuki wishes he could sit but he doesn't want to accidentally crush something important to Naki or Kogi. That would probably be a bad way to conclude their conversation when it's so obvious that Doutanuki has already partially ruined it.]
Master calls me that nickname, so it's only natural people start assumin' stuff.
[And there was the plushie in his room, too.]
...But for you guys, you actually like fox stuff, right?
That's right, we do! Nakigitsune is especially drawn to those with "fox" in their name, but anything fox-related is appreciated by all of us in this room.
[The smallest fox bounces back a lot faster than Naki, the conversation's not all that ruined! Probably!]
But it's true that his name for you had helped us to assume...while not a fox, it was still a possibility that caught our interests.
We get along well with Gokotai-kun! His tigers are quite friendly.

[Would Gokotai get along with robofox? Naki suddenly wonders, his own gaze moving down and off to the side--as if he's avoiding Dotanuki's gaze? But really he's just wondering where in this mess the little cybuddy has hidden itself.]

[There is a brief moment where Doutanuki is confused about what Naki is doing. It is a brief moment where his world is at peace and he still sort of understands what is supposed to happen to a sword like him.

And there is a tiny robot fox clawing its way up his jersey and scrabbling up his back?????!?!? Doutanuki yelps in surprise and ducks, which one helps Robofox get better footing. It can now safely and quickly climb up to Doutanuki's shoulder, where he has his hands raised, ready for an attack.]
[.....It's true he'd made a fox noise at what he was sure was robofox, but he hadn't expected this explosion??
